Amigurumi Scotich Thistle Crochet Pattern 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

General Abreviations:
-Ls: left side
-Rs: right side
-Ct: center
-;    ; : complete stitches between ; & ; in same stitch
-# stitches: e.g. 2 sc make a sc into the next two stitches
-Mc: magic circle
-Sl st: slip stitch
-Sc: single crochrt
-Tr: triple crouchet
-Dc: double crochet
-Hdc: half double crochet
-Flo: front loop only
-Inc: make two stitches into stitch (increases number of stitches by 1)
-#stitches: e.g. 3sc make 3 single crochets into same stitch
-Dec: sc by hooking into flo of the next two stitches stitches (decreases number of stitches by 1)

-Sk st: skip stitch
-Yo: yarn over



Materials:
-Yarn A: Jalapeno (Green), B: Mulberry (purple) animation 100% combed mercerized cotton yarn
-2 mm hook
-Yarn needle
-Sissors

Pattern:

Yarn A

Stem:
1: mc 6 sc
2-9: sc

10: leaf:
Rs: chain 6, sl st into chain closest to hook, picot (chain 3, sl st into the stitch closest to the hook, sl st into next stitch), sl st, picot

Ls: Sl st into other side of chain (bringing yarn over under the leaf), picot (chain 3, sl st into the stitch closest to the hook, sl st into next stitch), sl st into last chain

Ct: Bring yarn back down to stem: draw loop into the center of top and slip stitch puling up through next center stitch, sc into next stem stitch,

10 cont: 3 sc and do 2nd leaf

11-12: sc

Flower (bottom) Part 1:
1: Blo sc (6)
2: sc, inc (12)

3: sc (18)

4: sc (18)

5: sc, dec (12)

(Cont after purple center)

Yarn B

Purple center:

-Wrap purple yarn around 2 fingers 12 times

-Cut thread

-Wrap both tails around the same area a couple of times and knot

-Thread onto needle and push through center of flower bottom and into center of stem

-Push needle out a few rows under the leaves.

-Tie a knot with the two tails

-Pull the tails back into the stem

Flower (top) Part 2:

-6: sc, dec (6)

-7: sc (6)

-8: *Picot (ch 3, sl st into 2nd chain form the hook, sl st into next stitch) blo* 4 times, sl st into the same stitch as last picot
-Fasten of and cut short tail
-Pull tail into the stem

-Pull down the picots and squish down the circle

-Pull apart threads of purple yarn. You could comb with a fine tooth comb to make fluffy.
