Mini Valentine Gnome 🍭❤️Crochet Pattern

General Crochet Abbreviation:

-Ls: left side
-Rs: right side
-Ws: wrong side
-Ct: center
-Beg: beginning
-; ; : complete stitches between ; & ; in same stitch
-, , : complete stitches in separate stitches
-* * : repeat actions as many times as indicated by the “x#” or until the end of the row
-# stitches: e.g. 2 sc make a sc into the next two stitches
-#stitches: e.g. 3sc make 3 single crochets into same stitch
-Ch: chain
-Ch-sp: chain space

-LS: left side

-RS: right side

-ctr: center
-Mc: magic circle
-Sl st: slip stitch
-Sc: single crochet
-Tr: triple/treble crochet
-Dc: double crochet
-Hdc: half double crochet
-Flo: front loop only
-Blo: back loop only

-Bob: bobble stitch
-Fp: front post
-Bp: back post
-Inc: make two stitches into same stitch (increases number of stitches by 1)
-Dec (invisible): sc by hooking into flo of the next two stitches stitches (decreases number of stitches by 1)
-Sk st: skip stitch
-Yo: yarn over
-Yu: yarn under
-Sts: stitch(s)

-Fasten off: cut yarn and pull tail through loop (if fastening off a circle, first thread needle and weave through Flo, pull tight to close, continue with fasten off)

1- 6mc (6)
2- inc (12)
3- sc, inc (18)
4 & 5 sc (18)
6- 9 sc, bob, sc to end (18)

Body:

Switch to dark pink
7- blo sl st (18)
8- blo: 2 sc, follow heart pattern (18)
9- 6 sc, bob (brown), 6 sc, bob (brown), sc to end of row (18)
10- 2 sc, follow heart pattern (18)
11- 6 sc, bob (brown), 6 sc, bob (brown), sc to end of row (18)
12- sc, dec (heart pattern in invisible Dec) (12)

Stuff firmly
13- Dec (6)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Beard:
Crochet a heart. Using light pink yarn, into a MC,
>Ls-Ch 2 (1 stich), 3 tr,  4 dc,  (8)
>Ctr-tr, (9)
>Rs-4 dc, 3 tr, (16) push together to tighten and pull yarn to close MC,

>ch 2 & sl st into MC, pull yarn again to tighten MC (18)
>Sew upside down onto face on last brown line between arms

Hat:

1- Chain 24, attach into a circle with sl st, sc (24)
2- 4 sc, Dec (heart pattern in Dec) (20)
3-Sc
4- 3 sc, Dec (heart pattern in Dec) (16)
5-Sc
6- 2 sc, Dec (heart pattern in Dec) (12)
7-Sc
8- sc, Dec (heart pattern in Dec) (8)
9- Sc
10- sc, Dec (heart pattern in Dec) (4)
11, 12 & 13- sc

Fasten off and weave in ends

Turn hat over and work in the chain:
14- 5 sc, inc (28)
15- Sc blo
Fasten off and weave in ends

Hat Heart:
Into a MC:
>Ls-Ch 2 (1 stich), 2dc,  2hdc,  (5)
>Ctr-dc, (6)
>Rs-2hdc, 2dc, (10) push together to tighten and pull yarn to close MC, ch 2 & sl st into MC, pull yarn again to tighten MC (11)

>Sew heart onto point of hat
