Small Open Top Bag Crochet Pattern 👜

General Abreviations:
-Ls: left side
-Rs: right side
-Ct: center
-;    ; : complete stitches between ; & ; in same stitch
-# stitches: e.g. 2 sc make a sc into the next two stitches
-Mc: magic circle
-Sl st: slip stitch
-Sc: single crochrt
-Tr: triple crouchet
-Dc: double crochet
-Hdc: half double crochet
-Flo: front loop only
-Inc: make two stitches into stitch (increases number of stitches by 1)
-#stitches: e.g. 3sc make 3 single crochets into same stitch
-Dec: sc by hooking into flo of the next two stitches stitches (decreases number of stitches by 1)

-Sk st: skip stitch
-Yo: yarn over

MATERIALS:

-6mm hooks

-Yarn A: Red Heart Boutique Sashay Sparkle: Midas

-Yarn B: Red Heart Boutique Sashay Sequins: Cabernet

-sissors

-stitch marker

PATTERN:

Body of bag

Using Yarn A

1: Ch 31 (or measure the widest thing you plan to use in the bag, increase or decrease number of stitches if needed)

2: Starting in the 2nd chain from the hook, *sc,*ch 1 and turn

3-12: *Sc*, ch 1 and turn

-Fasten off, cut thread and weave in ends

-Fold in half

Straps

Using Yarn B

1: Attach yarn onto (where two sides of bag meet), sc along the open edge )connecting both pieces of the bag together).

2: 3 sc into the corner, turning and sc across the bottom

3: 3 sc into the corner, turning and sc across the opposite side

4: ch 105, attach using a sc onto the opposite side of the bag

5: sl st along one of the bag opening until you hit the first section of the strap

6: sl at along one side of the strap

7: sl st along the other side of the bag opening until you hit the 2nd section of the strap

8: sl at along the other side of the strap

-fasten off, cut yarn, weave in ends
