Rose Crochet Pattern

Rose Crochet Pattern 💐

Materials:
Pink Worsted weight yarn

4mm hook
Yarn needle
Sissors

General Abreviatuons:
-Ls: left side
-Rs: right side
-Ct: center
-;    ; : complete stitches between ; & ; in same stitch
-# stitches: e.g. 2 sc make a sc into the next two stitches
-Mc: magic circle
-Sl st: slip stitch
-Sc: single crochrt
-Tr: triple crouchet
-Dc: double crochet
-Hdc: half double crochet
-Flo: front loop only
-Inc: make two stitches into stitch (increases number of stitches by 1)
-#stitches: e.g. 3sc make 3 single crochets into same stitch
-Dec: sc by hooking into flo of the next two stitches stitches (decreases number of stitches by 1)

*Rose is approx 7.5 inches

Stem:
1: mc 6 sc
2-22: sc
23: leaf: chain 6; sc into chain closest to hook;

RS: hdc; dc; hdc; sc

LS: sc into other side of chain (bringing yarn over under the leaf); hdc in next stitch; dc; hdc; sc in last stitch,

Bring yarn back down to stem: draw loop into the center of top and slip stitch pulling up through next 2 center stitchs, sc into nect stem stitch

24-25: sc
26: 3 sc; create a 2nd leaf
27-29: sc
30: Create sepal (three green leaves under rose): *chain 4; sc st into 2nd chain from hook; sl st into next stitch* 3 times
-Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew

Rose
1: Ch 44; 2 DC in 4th CH from the hook; *CH 1; skip 1; 3DC*;  ch 2 turn
2: * DC; 2 DC; DC; CH 2; Sc in ch-space*; SS in the 3rd ch
-Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew
-Hold bottom, layering petals on top of each other, creating a rose. Adjust to desired look
-use tail to sew together layers and sew onto stem
-Use green tail to attach green leaves to rose
-Push the petals together for a bud look or  spread the apart for an open rose look
