Bookmark with Holder Pattern

Materials:

Any 4 weight medium yarn-4 colours (I used scraps)

Size G Crochet HookYarn needle

Scissors

Snaps (I used Snap Button Tape Cotton Black Snap Fasteners Ribbon 50 Yard)

STICHES:

Pattern

Bookmark (25 inches):

Row 1:  Use colourA, chain 108,

Row 2: SC to end or row, chain 1, turn

Row 3: Sc to end of row. Pick up new colourB during last SC. Chain 1. Weave in tails as you do the next row.

Row 4-9: Repeat rows 2 & 3 for colourB, colourC, & colourD

Ro1 10: Cast off row. Chain 1.

Pouch (5.5 inches):

Fold over & SC down edge. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Attach coulorD yarn (same as row) & SC down edge. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Snaps:

Cut snap ribbon so you have a strip with 3 snaps (or more if you are likely to use it with smaller books).

Sew ribbon on both ends of the bookmark (one on back of pouch & one on opposite side of bookmark)
